EDU 2050 - Technology Tools for Teaching Developing classroom strategies for integrating computers and their peripherals, instructional software, and tool software into integrated, differentiated lessons. Methods, strategies, concepts, and skills focused on in lab and authentic educational settings. Emphasis is on lesson plan construction, differentiated instruction and assessment, and creative applications accomplished with off-the-shelf software commonly found in schools. Students will explore the primary methods of technology-supported instruction and the major components of instructional design. Covers teaching with technology as knowledge-driven, learner-centered, and relevant to multiple contexts, including professional portfolio development. Field experience in local schools required.
