PHED 1140 - History & Principles of Physical Education

An introductory course into the history and development of modern physical education from a historical, philosophical, and social perspective. The scientific foundations and principles underlying school and college physical education will be presented. Students are introduced to facts, principles, and philosophies associated with motivation, learning principles, program instruction, supervision, administration, and evaluation of PE and sports.
