CJ 4130 - Probation and Parole Services


Prerequisite(s): CJ 1400 .
The criminal justice system is comprised of three major components: police, courts and corrections. This course will take an in-depth examination of the community-based strategies of probation and parole from both a historical perspective and what is currently being utilized today. This examination will explore the duties and objectives of contemporary probation and parole agencies and tracks the progress of an individual through each phase of the community-based systems.
