PLAW 4200 - Senior Capstone Project Prerequisite(s): Senior standing (90 or more earned credits). The course examines the United States criminal justice system and the criminal justice systems of other nations. Using a descriptive approach, the four (4) primary components of criminal justice systems of a number of nations will be studied and compared and contrasted with those same components in the U.S. The components of the criminal justice system include: sources and principles of law; the law enforcement structure; the judicial system; and, corrections. The course is a required capstone course for students in a pre-law major that integrates an understanding of all of the components of the U.S. criminal justice system by comparing and contrasting those components with those components of other nations.
