HIM 3800 - Health Care Statistics and Analytics

This comprehensive and practical treatment of health care statistics and analytics prepares HIM professionals for their evolving role in data analytics. Examples are based on real-life HIM scenarios. Learners are challenged to exercise critical thinking skills to excise data and report on data sets and apply tests to assure quality of data and results. The types of health care data and the tools of data analysis are covered. Statistical techniques and their mechanics and interpretation are discussed for categorical variables, continuous variables and the relationships between two or more variables.
