COMM 3600 - Rhetoric and Argumentation


Prerequisite(s): COMM 1250 Co-requisite(s): ENG 1270 .
Rhetoric and argumentation introduces students to the important distinctions between persuasion and rational argument. Through the study of popular culture and entertainment, students examine the ways persuasion and argument form their beliefs and behaviors. They develop the skills necessary to persuade and convince others to believe and act. This course examines both discursive and non-discursive methods of argument. Credit(s): 3 (3 plus 0)
