Higher Learning Commission (HLC)

Indiana Tech is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) (https://www.hlcommission.org).  The university is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. State Department and is approved by the State Approving Agency for the enrollment of veterans and eligible persons.

ABET Accreditation

The biomedical engineering degree program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Bioengineering and Biomedical and Similarly Named Engineering Program Criteria.

The computer engineering and electrical engineering degree programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Electrical, Computer, Communications, Telecommunication(s) and Similarly Named Program Criteria.

The mechanical engineering degree program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Mechanical and Similarly Named Program Criteria.

The computer science degree program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Program Criteria for Computer Science and Similarly Named Computing Programs. 

Commission of Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM)

The health information technology associate degree program and the health information management baccalaureate degree program are both accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) (http://www.cahiim.org), the body that accredits health informatics and health information management educations programs to ensure the development of a workforce that meet the needs of an information-intensive industry. CAHIIM accreditation qualifies Indiana Tech graduates of both the associate and baccalaureate degree programs to sit for the Registered Health Information on Technician (RHIT) exam and Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) exam, respectively.

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) (https://shrm.org) has confirmed that the curriculum taught in Indiana Tech’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration in Human Resources degree aligns with the recommended requirements for human resource degree programs as outlined in the SHRM HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates.
