LAW 9004 - Constitutional Law I


This class will examine the respective roles of the executive, legislative and judicial branches, with an emphasis on the role of the judiciary in the development of constitutional law. The course will also examine the relationship between state and federal power, and the limits of federal and state power with respect to the protection of individual civil liberties. Finally, the course will examine the evolution of equal protection and substantive due process law under the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments. Credit(s): 3
