LAW 9102 - Lawyering Skills II This course, taught by lawyering skills staff, introduces students to persuasive legal writing and oral advocacy in trial and appellate contexts, and prepares students to engage effectively in interviewing, counseling, mediation, and negotiations. Students will be required to produce one rigorous legal memorandum with a minimum of 5,000 words of text, exclusive of footnotes, endnotes, headings and the like. By the end of this course, each student will be well on the way to becoming an effective and persuasive legal researcher, analyst, writer, and oral advocate, and will have presented at least two oral arguments in the school’s courtroom.
