MA 1000 - Foundations of College Mathematics Topics include computation with integers and rational numbers using correct order of operations, ratios and proportions. The student also learns percent concepts and solving equations involving percentages. Other covered topics are exponents and simplifying and solving equations and inequalities with one variable. Using linear equation problem solving strategies to solve application problems is emphasized. Graphing lines using slope and y-intercept is also taught.
