HIT 1450 - Diagnosis Coding

Prerequisite(s): BIO 1210; HIT 1100; HIT 1200 all with a grade of C or better.
This course covers the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Edition, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) coding system. Students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to translate medical diagnoses into ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes. Review of coding guidelines and their use in the coding process will be covered. Credit(s): 3
