MSE 5400 - Supplier Quality Prerequisite(s): None. This course will provide the student with skills needed to oversee programs, policies, processes, procedures and controls necessary for ensuring that performance and quality of products/services conform to established standards. Topics include: Supplier alliances, Voice of the Customer and QFD, Customer specific requirements including PPAP, audits, ECNs, ISO/TS standards, Continuity of Supply, etc., Conduct and Ethics, Tools used in product and process planning (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), Design of Experiments (DOE), Simulation and Modeling, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Control documents), Non-conformance and corrective action.
