HIM 3700 - Principles of Health Care Management

Prerequisite(s): ENG 2320 or HIT 1600 with a C or better.
The student will gain understanding of the four functions of management- planning, organizing, leading and controlling. The activities of the manager - planning, organizing, decision making, staffing, motivating, control mechanisms, and budgeting - are detailed with examples from a variety of health care settings in an environment of adaptation and survival.
