MA 4300 - Modern Algebra

Prerequisite(s): MA 2150.
An introduction to the principles and concepts of modern abstract algebra. Topics will include groups, rings, and fields. The course focuses on the process of mathematical abstraction, the formulation of algebraic axiom systems, and the development of an abstract theory from these axiomatic systems.
