PSY 4530 - Health Psychology Prerequisite(s): PSY 1700. Surveys the psychological, social and behavioral factors related to physical health promotion and the role psychology plays in fostering positive health practices. The course covers health related topics that include stress and coping; cardiovascular disease; chronic pain management and arthritis; cancer; risky health practices (smoking, substance abuse) as well as a look at communicable and chronic diseases.
