The Master of Science in Engineering Management is designed for professionals with a technical degree who are preparing to assume more managerial responsibilities, or who are broadening their knowledge base. Topics such as quality assurance, lean manufacturing, and enterprise resource planning are complemented with the study of financial management, project management, managerial economics, and more. This integration creates an educational experience which can be thought of as an MBA with a technical focus.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Evaluate the implications of business decisions that may impact safety, health, and/or the environment.
- Identify and evaluate ethical dilemmas and apply ethical decision-making techniques to resolve them.
- Propose strategies for the efficient integration and alignment of the different areas of the company, from the shopfloor to finance and marketing.
- Evaluate the current state of operations in a company in order to initiate and maintain a process of continuous improvement for the organization.
- Communicate effectively in both a written and verbal format.
