Criminalistics, A.S.

The Associate of Science in Criminalistics gives students a start in the fields of forensic science and criminal justice. The selection of courses in math, forensic science and criminal justice are meant to help students gain skills for work or for future study.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Analyze data and/or circumstances by using inquiry-based learning. 
  2. Describe approaches to answering questions and solving problems.
  3. Solve problems consistently with open-minded approaches that yield productive and effective results.
  4. Explain how to confront complex issues alongside the realization of the fleeting nature of precise answers.
  5. Practice professional engagement in discourse with honesty that promotes trust based on candid, encompassing, and inclusive dialogue. 
  6. Evaluate assignments that require peer review.
  7. Communicate clearly and consistently with diverse audiences.
  8. Develop self-awareness and confidence in one’s own work.
