The computer science exploratory track (CSEXP) is a one semester exploration of the program opportunities in the School of Computer Sciences. Upon choosing this program, each student will be assigned a faculty member from the School of Computer Sciences. A student in this program will register for a math and English course as well as two or three SCS courses that would depend on their math placement. The student will also be assigned to a special University Experience section designed to give the student a realistic view of all of the SCS programs, their job opportunities, skills required, work environments and the grades needed to be successful. Prior to registering for the spring semester each student would then sit down with their advisor to discuss their current grades, interests and the programs to determine into which program they should enter for their second semester.
