BME 3300 - Biosimulation Prerequisite(s): MA 1210 , EGR 1500 , BIO 2730 . Biosimulation course focus on human physiological control theories, models and systems to provide better understanding of the biomedical engineering principles using MATLAB and SIMULINK, computer-aided software mostly used for simulation and control. This course covers mathematical equations to simulate human bio-behavioral systems on drug-deliver, glucose exchange, windkessel model for lung, neuromuscular system and circadian rhythm. Software used in this course provides the hands on experience to design and analyze human physiological models for the various applications in biomedical engineering. Students are graded based on their performance in homework assignment, lab assignment, midterm and final exams. Credit(s): 3 (3 plus 0)
