MA 1025 - Mathematical Problem-Solving Prerequisite(s): MA 1010 or MA 1020 with grade C or better. Topics in algebra include exponents and their properties and addition, subtraction and multiplication of variable expressions. Solving and applying linear equations and applying exponential equations are studied. Graphing lines and linear inequalities using slope-intercept form and solving systems of equations and inequalities as they relate to business, social science, and finance applications and displaying data are also covered. Throughout the course application problems and appropriate technology will be emphasized. Credit(s): 3 (3 plus 0)
