PHED 1140 - History & Principles of Physical Education

An introductory course into the history and development of modern physical education from a historical, philosophical and social perspective. The scientific foundations and principles underlying school and college physical education will be presented. Students are introduced to facts, principles and philosophies associated with motivation, learning principles, program instruction, supervision, administration and evaluation of PE and sports.
