ES 4000 - Excercise for Special Population A study of practical information on exercise for persons with a wide range of special diseases and disabilities. An overview of each unique physiology, effects of the condition on the exercise response, effects of exercise training on the condition, and recommendations for exercise testing and programming is presented in a selected topics format. Students will examine clinical exercise testing and prescription relative to disease of the cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic, musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and immunologic systems. 3 credit hours.
