PH 1300 - General Physics I Prerequisite(s): MA 1100 or MA 1200 with a C- or higher. This course introduces the fundamental principles of classical mechanics, covering key concepts in motion and force. Topics include vector analysis, kinematics in one and two dimensions, Newton’s Laws of Motion, momentum, rotational motion, work and energy. Emphasis is placed on calculations and predictions by applying vector algebra and calculus to kinematics, forces, work, energy, linear and angular momentum, and rotational dynamics. Credit(s): 3
