BIO 2170 - Introduction to Geographic Information Systems

Prerequisite(s): None.
This introductory course in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to be an independent user of GIS. The course is taught using a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on, interactive tutorials and is focused on learning the tools of ESRI’s ArcGIS software package to establish a solid foundation for addressing spatial questions across a wide range of disciplines.
