HUM 3600 - Philosophy of Environmental Science Prerequisite(s): Written Communication general education requirement. This course will introduce students to the connection between environmental science, fundamental questions in philosophy, and the value and depth of philosophical questioning. Moreover, the course will deal with how philosophical categories such as epistemology, ethics, and rhetoric relate to environmental topics such as the Anthropocene, climate change, ecology, and conservation biology. By the end of the course, students should have a deeper understanding of their field and how to approach some of the major issues and complicated questions they will encounter. Credit(s): 3
