LDS 7001 - Leadership Theory & Research Prerequisite(s): None. A foundational course in the critical analysis of seminal theoretical and empirical leadership theories, research and best practices. The concepts and dimensions of leadership are evaluated from the early trait and behavioral theories to the more recent theories which emphasize transformational and servant leadership models. Ethics and morality in leadership decision-making and case studies that examine emerging leadership situations are also analyzed. This course is taken within the first 0 to 18 credits of the Ph.D. program. Credit(s): 3
