BIO 3310 - Bioinformatics Prerequisite(s): CELL BIOLOGY [BIO 2900 (with LABORATORY, BIO 2910 )]; GENETICS [BIO 3000 (WITH LABORAOTRY, BIO 3010 ); APPLIED PROBABILITY AND STATISTICS (EGR 3430 ). Massive data pools drive current scientific investigation in biomedical, forensic, and molecular environmental sciences today. This course provides students with an introduction to the key skills in data collection, management, and manipulation. Case studies from local water and soil projects as well as database queries will provide hands-on experience to prepare students for Fourth Year large-scale projects. 3 CREDITS Credit(s): 3
