The Bachelor of Arts in General Studies is designed for those students who would prefer a flexible course of study during their college experience. This program requires completion of the General Education Requirements as well as a concentration in a single area of emphasis or two areas of specialization constructed from courses offered within other fields at the University. The Bachelor of Arts in General Studies offers students the ability to obtain a holistic, broad education. Because of the fluid nature of this degree, many career paths are open to students who graduate from this major. It also allows transfer students and those who have changed majors to seamlessly integrate into a degree program.

Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Compile evidence of both breadth and depth of knowledge within their chosen concentration or specializations.
  2. Critique their competency within the foundations of Indiana Tech’s general education core: communicate, analyze, and lead.
  3. Explain how skills acquired and honed during their higher education journey will prepare them for a career.
