PCB Layout, Certificate

This certificate prepares students for a job in printed circuit board (PCB) layout. The program includes basics in analog and digital electronics. The remainder of the program focuses on PCB layout, from basic footprint creation to creating multi-layer boards. Students will also learn about making radio frequency (RF) devices such as antennas on PCB boards. The program has a strong focus on IPC 2222 and IPC 2221 standards, which are industry recognized standards for PCB layout.

Prerequisites/corequisites for the following courses within the PCB Layout certificate will not be enforced​:

• EET 1100 Electronic Circuits I
• EET 1300 Digital Circuits
• EET 2400 PCB Layout and Fabrication

Prerequisites/corequisites for all other courses within the PCB Layout certificate will be enforced​.
