Prerequisite(s): HIT 1100; BIO 1210 both with a C or better.
Introduces Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and the Health Care Common Procedural Coding System (HCPCS) Level II. Outpatient procedural coding including evaluation and management coding is the concentration. Coding compliance and adherence to official guidelines is stressed.
