ECE 4300 - Digital Communication Prerequisite(s): ECE 3600 . This course discusses topics such as the performance of digital communication systems under noise, spectral analysis, spread spectrum communication, and digital communications under linearly distortive channels. Applications such as optimum filtering is discussed. Technologies related to spread spectrum communications such as frequency hopping (FHSS) and direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) are introduced. Applications to spread spectrum communication such as Bluetooth and code division multiple access (CDMA) are discussed. Credit(s): 3
