CJ 4960 - Senior Capstone: Comparative Criminal Justice Systems Prerequisite(s): CJ 1100 . The course examines the United States criminal justice system and the criminal justice system of other nations. Using a descriptive approach, the four primary components of criminal justice systems of a number of nations will be studied and compared and contrasted with those same components in the enforcement structure; the judicial system include: sources and principles of law; the law enforcement structure; the judicial system; and, corrections. The course is a required capstone course for students in the pre-law major that integrates an understanding of all of the components of the U.S. criminal justice system by comparing and contrasting those components with those components of other nations.
