CH 1150 - Chemistry for Health Professionals Prerequisite(s): High school chemistry or CH 1000 ; MA 1030 . A foundation for further study in the health fields, students enrolled in this course develop understanding in topics from general chemistry, such as matter, measurements, bonding, pH, equilibrium, and introductory kinetics. Introductory concepts from organic chemistry (such as nomenclature, functional groups identification, and basic reactions) and biochemistry (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and amino acids) are explored to understand biomolecular chemistry.
