FS 1220 - Introduction to Bloodstain Pattern Analysis

Prerequisite(s): None.
This course will introduce students to an important tool in investigation of violent crimes. The students will learn how principles of biology, physics and mathematics used in Bloodstain Pattern Analysis help criminalists in reconstructing events surrounding a violent crime and answering questions about the origin of blood; type of weapon used; number, relative position and movement of victims and perpetrators immediately prior and after the bloodshed.
