Supply Chain Management - Analytics, Certificate

The Supply Chain Management field is experiencing a significant skills-gap when it comes to professionals with the proficiency to manage increasingly complex international networks. The Supply Chain Management Certificate program is designed to address the skills short-fall by providing students with both theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for operating and analyzing successful global supply chains.

Analytics students will discover operations management and be provided with a systems-based perspective that will enable them to design, operate, and improve operational activities. The grounding in operations management will enable students to understand the networks that deliver goods and services through operations management tools such as flow diagrams, lean management systems, and decision trees. Students will be prepared for continued study in logistics, lean systems, operations research, supply chain management, and business-to-business sales. Students completing the certificate program will develop the ability to evaluate logistical networks, assess efficiency and effectiveness of lean systems, and formulate linear and integer programming models with the objective of optimizing supply chain activities. The certification provides value by enhancing the analytic rigor of undergraduate academic programs by introducing a sequential course series focused on critical thinking and problem solving in supply chain management.
