LS 2300 - Substantive Criminal Law


Prerequisite(s): LS 1100 .
This course will explore the evolution of substantive criminal law in America from its British and common-law traditions to present. This course will provide a comprehensive examination of the nature and purpose of contemporary substantive criminal law.  The learner’s examination of this topic will include the limitations and ambiguity of the substantive law. This course may utilize the Indiana Criminal Code as one model of substantive law and may be taught using the case study method. Credit(s): 3
