This 18-credit hours, six-course Undergraduate Cybersecurity Certificate at Indiana Tech is designed to help students build in-demand, fundamental cybersecurity skills, such as ethical hacking, cloud security, digital forensics, and more. The curriculum aligns with industry certifications, such as CompTIA’s Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, and prepare students in career fields including cybersecurity analyst, cyber network defense analyst, cyber forensics analyst, and cybersecurity administrator.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Define/describe the principles of cybersecurity and the fundamental concepts of the cybersecurity discipline used to provide system security.
- Detect, identify, resolve and document host of network intrusions detection and protect tools.
- Demonstrate appropriate and ethical behavior and good work habits.
- Deploy reactive measures to respond to detected intrusion profiles.
If students are dual enrolled in a degree program and certificate, prerequisites/corequisites for the courses within the Cybersecurity certificate will be enforced. If students are only enrolled in a certificate, prerequisites/corequisites for the courses within the Cybersecurity certificate will not be enforced.
