Exercise Science - Applied Exercise Physiology Concentration, B.S.

The mission of the Exercise Science – Applied Exercise Physiology program is to prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and practical fieldwork necessary for careers in fitness-related settings with both healthy individuals and those with acute or chronic illness. In addition, this program prepares students for graduate programs in chiropractic, dietetics, or cardiac rehabilitation.
Students will be able to:
- Perform proficiency in fitness assessments.
- Develop safe and effective exercise programs based on the FITT principles for diverse populations.
- Communicate to various audiences using effective interpersonal skills.
- Evaluate behavior modification strategies to promote and maintain a physically active lifestyle.
